Bia Wednesday
From Greek βία (bia), “force, violence”
The Gist
People often solve the conflict by using willpower. But willpower is a finite resource. Use it wisely. Otherwise it’s not going to work in the long run.
The Declaration of Force
Learn: Why Declarations are Bloated
One must see willpower for what it is: a finite and powerful resource. Willpower is great when used in decisive moments, not daily governance. The strength to say “no” once, to start a difficult journey, or to stand firm when tested by circumstance. One calling upon it for every small choice is draining the resource that cannot be easily refilled. This constant dependence on willpower creates a state of exhaustion. Where one’s reserves are spent on inner conflict. The feeling of being drained is not a lack of discipline, but a warning that one is using the wrong tool for the work.
